Group Therapy 2008

Mixed Adult Group
Change is always a challenge: It brings pain, shame and lame excuses. In this group you can expect to learn a lot about yourself and find the support you need. You may need to untangle yourself from your family.

This group is for you if….

You feel all alone in making the changes you want
You are overwhelmed with N.E.T. (not enough time)
You are in a go-nowhere job, relationship, or life
You feel down more than you feel up
You are new in town and looking for connections
You are not sure what you want from life
Your marriage or partnership is over
You are looking for new tools to help you out.

For registration, intake, or any other questions - please contact me via phone or e-mail.

Is Group Therapy Right For Me?
To live an emotional enlightened life can seem far richer to us than a life of being out of touch with others or with our feelings. We can understand other people, know who is good or bad for us, and understand ourselves. We can play with possibilities, consider alternatives, and weigh our options. Group therapy can help us to become less apt to make drastic mistakes, less tempted to be self defeating. A therapy group is a primary agent for change, a rich opportunity for powerful healing experiences.

Issues of transition, anxiety, anger, depression, and divorce are typical subjects one brings to a group. Using moment-to-moment client material, individual awareness is fostered along with healing and growth. Participants learn to use interpersonal cooperation and conflict to deepen relationships in their lives. The group session provides a safe, supportive place to learn new ways of coping.

On-going group Mondays, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. for adult men and women. This group currently has a waiting list.
